Designed and executed a national ICT strategy for a multi-site higher education Institute & University, delivering network standardisation, cybersecurity uplift, and a centralised IT operations model.
The Challenge
IBS Group's university, and higher education Institutes are operated with inconsistent network configurations, no centralised monitoring, and significant cybersecurity exposure. IT decisions were made reactively at site level with no group-wide visibility.
The Approach
Conducted a full ICT audit, developed a group IT policy framework, standardised WAN/LAN configurations across all sites, deployed a centralised SIEM solution, and established a Colombo-based NOC for 24/7 monitoring.
The Outcome
Standardised network infrastructure across all sites, 60% reduction in security incidents within 12 months, centralised monitoring covering 100% of group assets, and IT policy compliance lifted from 40% to 92%.
